My family comes from the western pacific island of Guam. Great beaches, good people, wonderful culture. Taitanos are a large family dating back to the 1600's. Each branch of the Taitano clan has a nickname, our is 'Charote'. The Taitano name is associated with educators, statesmen, civic leaders and ministers.

My heritage includes a great immediate family with wonderful siblings and parents. Their efforts to help others and share good has touched thousands of people around the world.

My wife, Mary, and I have two wonderful children. Enough said!

Community

We live on Vashon Island, which is just south-west of Seattle. It has no bridge and travel to either Seattle, Tacoma or the Olympic Peninsula must be done by ferry boat. Vason is a rural community : lavender farmers neighboring networking gurus; philanthopists doing volunteer work with carpenters. Vashon does retain a high sense of community and family. People know one another and still wave their hand when passing.
